The making of a child of God
in whom the world will know
is the mercy of grace at work
that will outwardly show

to those who need to see the Lord
made known through human deed
see Jesus at His very heart
a Bible they can read

find love at work in building lives
a force that cannot fail
through touching souls right where they live
that love may thus prevail

and open doors that may be shut
to know God and His Son
for the gospel must become real
that many can be won
____
thereby trust and obedience reign
foundations laid with care
mark the one in whom God can trust
with the cross he must bear
____
by receiving the call of God
and the gifts rich in power
bring glory to God in honor
in man’s most faithful hour
____
for Jesus must be seen in man
God’s unlimited love
working to change a world of sin
from heaven’s throne above
